In 2026, I was awarded an EMBO Research Exchange Grant to visit and work with Sanne Boessenkool and her research group at the Centre for Ecological and Evolutionary Synthesis in Oslo University for three months.
There, I joined a project that has been working with 75,000 year old bulk-bone sediments from a cave in northern Norway. They recently published a paper titled "A 75,000-y-old Scandinavian Arctic cave deposit reveals past faunal diversity and paleoenvironment" (Walker et al., 2025), which you can read here.
